"Two steps ahead: protecting your digital life" is presented by the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA), a non-profit public-private partnership to help all digital citizens stay safer online. The national tour of education begins today in Denver.
"Technology options today are a great help to the efficiency, productivity and access to information, but can be a nightmare when cybersecurity lack of safe computing practices are used" said Todd Thibodeaux, president and chief executive CompTIA."Research shows that the weakest link in cyber defense is the person using the device connected," said Thibodeaux. "This national tour will educate and empower consumers and businesses to effective practices to maintain security online at home, work or on road safety."
Patrick Lane, senior director of product management, CompTIA will participate in the Denver program as a member of a panel of "ask the experts."
"The range of threats and challenges posed also grow rapidly as technology advances," said Lane. "That's why it is absolutely necessary to implement security features, such as two-factor authentication for an extra layer of protection. Using tools and existing security technology, we can better secure our connections and accounts, which goes a long way to stay safe online. "
CompTIA is at the forefront of cyber security protections with best practices for organizations; research and educational materials about the latest trends and security issues; skills certifications for technology workers; CyberSecure and CompTIA, an innovative training courses for employees in the best cybersecurity practices that are essential to the protection of a business.
